Laboratory Technician – WSP Research Centre Petone, Lower Hutt

We are seeking a recent graduate in Chemical or Physical Sciences, or a related discipline, to join our team as a Laboratory Technician. This is an excellent entry‑level opportunity for someone looking to start their career and develop practical skills within a supportive, professional laboratory environment.

In this role, you will assist with the testing of engineering materials such as bitumen, asphalt, and other specialist materials. Full training will be provided. Previous laboratory exposure or familiarity with material characterisation techniques would be beneficial, but it is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with testing of engineering materials including bitumen, asphalt, and other specialist materials.
• Operating laboratory equipment and following standard operating procedures.
