Laboratory Technician – WSP Research Centre Petone, Lower Hutt

Our Petone laboratory is looking for a recent graduate to join our Pavements and Materials team as a Laboratory Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in applied science within a supportive and professional laboratory environment. You will contribute to our bitumen testing programme and assist the pavements research team.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of tests on bitumen, asphalt, and other roading construction materials
• Prepare material samples, operate laboratory instruments, and ensure compliance with testing protocols
• Accurately record and document test data with a high level of detail
• Help maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Support ongoing improvement of laboratory processes

About You

• Relevant qualification in science (materials, chemistry, or a related field)
