Laboratory Technician

Clydach, Swansea | £33,435 pro rata | 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 6-month contract

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of their client for a Laboratory Technician to join the Mond Nickel Refinery in Clydach, Swansea.

Owned and operated by Vale Europe, the Mond Nickel Refinery has refined nickel for more than 120 years and is recognised as one of the world's leading refineries.

Key Duties:

Ensure all activities comply with QA Laboratory, Refinery, and EH&S requirements.
Collect refinery samples.
Prepare and analyse product and process samples in line with standard procedures.
Record analytical results in laboratory workbooks and refinery databases.
Operate, standardise, and carry out routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Identify non-conforming work and take corrective action where required.
