Possesses solid foundation in basic laboratory techniques and has lab experience working in specific areas such as Flow Cytometry and semen physiology.
Competent in the operation of multiple semen Sorter units.
Ability to train or assist individuals who may be assigned to the laboratory on a regular or temporary basis.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently on projects and participate in the creation of special projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including laboratory computers for data entry.
Participate in daily production of sexed semen with emphasis on sterility and semen quality.
Perform daily job duties including computer start up, calibration, sort setup and shutdown, cleaning, sterilization and bacterial testing.
Use of sterile techniques to avoid contaminating any laboratory areas, samples or instrumentation.
