Job Summary
:
The Lab Manager oversees all aspects of laboratory services for the clinical laboratory at designated sites. The Lab Manager interacts with other hospital services to support the coordination of patient care activities as well as achieves performance improvement initiatives. As the Lab Manager, it is important to ensure policies and procedures are feasible by making compliance a key priority.
Essential Functions:
Works to improve Laboratory operations and establish objectives related to quality metrics; monitors quality indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and submits monthly reports of monitorsManages laboratory department including hiring, staffing, scheduling, and onboarding of new employees; schedules staff to meet laboratory service requirements, productivity goals, and staffing budgetEvaluates the performance of department staff and completes performance assessments with input from Lead T...
