Job Summary
Bowdoin College has a full-time, academic year, benefits-eligible Laboratory Instructor position available beginning the fall semester of 2026. The Biology Department is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to work closely with supervising faculty to teach laboratory sections in courses that will include Biological Principles and Scientific Reasoning in Biology.

Responsibilities may include experimental design, laboratory preparation (the generation of laboratory handouts, preparing experimental solutions, maintaining equipment/instrumentation, and providing for the collection and disposal of all laboratory waste), presenting pre-lab lectures, instructing laboratory sections, overseeing exploratory student-led research projects, supervising student assistants, providing guidance about data analysis and scientific writing, and grading pre-...
