Full time position based in Murarrie, QLD.Shift times: Monday to Friday - 2pm to 10 pm OR 8pm to 4am OR 12pm to 8pmAn extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of National standard rate.Reporting to the Section Supervisor, a laboratory technician will be primarily responsible for sample preparation and involved in some analysis and other lab duties.
Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
Receive and sort water samples, assign tests in accordance with the ELVIS database and prepare batch sheets on Microsoft Excel. Sort soil samples (delivered with tests already assigned).Extract analytes from water/soil samples as directed by the Standard Operating Procedures.Combine water extractions, concentrate the solution and vial in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
