Job Summary
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils, supporting the culinary team in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role is essential to upholding the Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman's 5-star standards for hygiene, sanitation, and overall kitchen operations.
Job Duties & Functions
- Ensure the proper cleaning, sanitizing, and storage of all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils according to hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors, walls, garbage bins, and storage rooms.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment properly.
- Follow cleaning schedules and deep‑cleaning protocols for assigned areas.
