About the Role

The Junior Accountant works under general supervision performing and assisting the Senior Accountant in a variety of accounting duties to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial information and reports. This position performs a broad range of accounting duties and supports the Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Record monthly bank transactions (i.e. service charges, monthly leases
• Reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
• Maintain filing of bank statements and AP payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Verify employee expense claims and per diems for processing.
• Assist with batch reviews as assigned.
• Ensures monthly bill payments for various utility accounts are maintained.
