1. All the Production of the Food items in their Section, following the Recipe cards and Quality specifications
2. To Requisition and make sure the Section has adequate food stocks

3. To make sure that the correct quantities are made with the correct Items

4. Assisting other chefs in the kitchen

5. Commis chefs assist different station chefs (chef de partie) in the kitchen

6. They help prepare ingredients and do any tasks the chef de partie needs assistance with The commis chef's duties can often depend

7. Plan and coordinate the activities of the team to ensure operative effectiveness

8. Follow guidelines laid by the Sous Chef on menu plan and design in consultation with the Sous Chef
