Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Analysis and Optimization
Analyze 24-36 months of consumption data across all storage locations to establish accurate demand baselines by item and business unit.
Apply appropriate forecasting models based on demand patterns including moving average, linear trend, seasonal decomposition and Crostons method for intermittent demand.
Calculate optimal safety stock levels considering lead time, supplier reliability, service level targets and item criticality.
Classify inventory into categories such as Good Stock, Slow Moving, Overstocked and Obsolete based on defined thresholds.
Develop an item-level action matrix with clear recommendations for each stock category.
Identify surplus inventory and consolidation opportunities by mapping stock against alternate item usage.
