Position Title: Intervention Specialist



Salary Range: Teacher Salary

Contract Length: Teacher Contract



Immediate Supervisor: Principal



Basic Function: Assist and support colleagues in the implementation of strategies for students at the building level by sharing proven instructional techniques and materials. Monitor the school’s interventions and coordinate with the overall school literacy program to ensure quality instruction and to improve students’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Provide intervention to identified EL students.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:




+ Intervention Specialists will provide intervention support 50% of the school day to identified students at risk of failing or who are failing in reading, language arts and/or math.
