The Birthplace of Route 66 or T-Town grew rapidly due to early success of the oil industry. Located in the area also known as Green Country due to its lush landscape and rolling hills at the foothills of the Ozarks. Tulsa has its own symphony orchestra, ballet and opera, as well as several museums. The Arkansas River plus several 4 year universities OSU, Univ of Oklahoma branches, Oral Roberts Univ. & Tulsa University provide sports and music events most of the year.
