Intern Program – Electrical Engineer

Location: Tiwai Point, New Zealand.

Role: Start your career as an Intern Electrical Engineer at the New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) near Invercargill. In this 12‑week Summer Internship Program you will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining insight into how equipment, systems and processes interact and contributing to improving the operation’s safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior engineers on electrical systems and equipment.
• Assist in analysing and improving processes for safety and reliability.
• Contribute to projects that support the operation’s performance.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• Penultimate year or 2nd or 3rd year student pursuing or has completed a minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering (majoring in Electrical).
