Job Summary

Fraser Heath is seeking to fill an interim Medical Lead position which provides leadership and direction to the members of the Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services (AMSUS). The Medical Lead will report to and be accountable to the MHSU Program Medical Director and Regional Department Head, Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide leadership and medical oversight of the Regional Bed Based Withdraw Management Centres and Services. Ensure addiction medicine services are provided in alignment with regional evidence base and evidence informed standards of care. Liaise with other Addiction Medicine medical leads to ensure appropriate service provision throughout the region.
