About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Specialist Intensivist to provide effective and high-quality care to the Northland community. The successful candidate will work in the Department of Intensive Care Medicine and will participate in teaching and training resident medical staff as well as be actively involved in the consultant on call roster for ICU.
The Intensive Care Unit is a modern nine bed department providing care for 525 patient admissions per year: with over 40% mechanically ventilated. We provide an ICU outreach service and hold an accreditation for training by the College of Intensive Care Medicine.
