Job Summary Maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment by supporting end-to-end sterile processing to ensure safe and efficient clinical operations.
Responsibilities - Receive, sort, decontaminate, inspect, package, sterilise, store and distribute surgical instruments and supplies
- Operate washer-disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic washers and sterilisation equipment
- Perform and monitor sterilisation test indicators to ensure compliance
- Manage inventory of sterile linen and surgical consumables
- Issue sterile supplies to operating theatres and clinical areas
- Maintain cleanliness of storage and decontamination areas
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment; report faults and arrange repair/replacement
- Identify instruments requiring repair or replacement and notify the relevant person-in-charge
