Identify and monitor infections that may pose a health concern to patients, staff, students, and the public and recommend actions to manage and prevent them.
Effectively collaborate with all departments to plan and execute infection control actions.
Implement the International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) to ensure patient safety.
Identify and monitor specific infections, conduct targeted surveillance, and investigate outbreaks as directed by the Infection Control Committee.
Make rounds of hospital units for monitoring of infection control practice and patient care issues.
Educate departments and individuals on infection control practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
BScN/Post RN BScN / BS Microbiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related health sciences field with 1–2 years of relevant experience in Infection Prevention & Control in a healthcare setting.
