Job Summary

The Infection Preventionist II is responsible for the prevention, identification, investigation, reporting, and control of health care associated infections (HAI) with the day-to-day infection prevention activities for any designated healthcare facility, clinic and healthcare service throughout the continuum of care for Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) in accordance with accepted standards and requirements of infection prevention.

+ Applies epidemiologic principles and statistical methods to design prevention and control strategies, analyze trends, and evaluate processes.
