Position Overview
**Description:** The Industrial Hygienist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and controlling occupational health hazards in the workplace to protect employee health and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role conducts exposure assessments, implements control strategies, provides technical expertise, and promotes a culture of safety through training and communication.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Conduct workplace surveys and walk‑throughs to identify chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards.
• Perform quantitative exposure assessments (air sampling, noise monitoring, radiation surveys, etc.).
• Recommend engineering controls (ventilation, enclosure, substitution).
• Recommend administrative controls and safe work practices.
• Oversee selection and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, Fed OSHA, local regulations, and any site‑specific regulations.
