Performs skilled work in the control and suppression of fires.
Provides medical care within level of proficiency and transports sick or injured persons to medical facilities.
Drives, operates and performs routine maintenance, on various fire apparatus.
Operates and maintains medical equipment.
Performs physically hazardous and mentally stressful tasks under adverse conditions.
Participates in fire safety inspections; training, fire station, fire extinguishers and equipment maintenance, plant education programs, and other plant safety programs or projects as may be assigned.
Works on a 24-hour shift rotation, 16 hours paid, 8 hours bunk time. If called out during bunk time, employee will receive overtime pay at one and a half their normal rate of pay. If call out time during bunk time exceeds 3.5 hours, pay will be for the full 8 hours of bunk time.
