Indigenous Nurse Liaison – Emergency Department

The Prince Albert Grand Council is now accepting applications for the position of Indigenous Nurse Liaison in the emergency department at Victoria Hospital. Reporting to the Manager of Saskatchewan Health Authority Emergency, the Indigenous Nurse Liaison is responsible for providing clinical nursing care in a fast‑paced emergency setting.

Main Duties

• Clinical nursing care in a fast‑paced emergency setting
• Patient navigation and advocacy for First Nations and Métis patients and families
• Cultural liaison work, including facilitating access to Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and traditional healing practices
• Discharge planning and case coordination with community and healthcare services
• Health education, counseling, and crisis intervention
• Cultural safety leadership for patients, families, and healthcare teams
