The Group Marketing Department, as a cross-company marketing organization, promotes the efficiency and optimization of group-wide marketing through strengthening compliance governance, acquiring new users, and improving retention and engagement of existing users.

Within the department, the IMS Group (Integrated Media Strategy Group) is a team whose mission is to optimize advertising investment across the entire Rakuten Group. The team acts as a bridge between business units and external stakeholders for both online and offline advertising, supporting efficient ad investment.
