Position Overview
Perform human resource functions such as recruitment, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to line managers to develop the skills and capabilities of staff
- Plan and deliver training occasionally, including induction programs for new hires
- Work closely with other departments, and assist the line managers in understanding and implementing procedures and policies
- Develop HR policies on issues like working conditions, performance, management, absence management, and disciplinary procedures
- Monitor staff performance and attendance activities
- Recruit staff which includes preparing advertisements, screening application forms, short-listing the candidates, interviewing and selecting them
- Interpret and notify employees on employment legislation
- Listen to grievances of employees and implement appropriate disciplinary procedures
