Duties Description All Hourly positions with the NYS Office of Addiction Services & Supports (OASAS) are utilized on an as needed basis, and as such there is no guarantee of work hours or a set schedule. Any/all questions should be directed to
Chaplains conduct religious services and provide spiritual guidance for individuals admitted to a State facility, as well as staff. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• May establish periods for worship, conducts religious services, and administers rites and sacraments;
• May provide pastoral care in order to develop good relationships with all who are served, with particular attention to those newly admitted to the facility;
• May counsel individuals going through an emotional and spiritual crisis, the critically ill, the dying, and/or those about to be released, on personal and spiritual problems;
