An opening exists at Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Sinking Valley, Blair County, Pennsylvania, for a part-time historic site assistant who will work up to a maximum of 999 hours per anniversary year. Our hire will work on special events; assist with or conduct tours and educational interpretation sessions; prepare materials for interpretative stations; staff gift shop, demonstrate understanding of store policies, balance cash drawer, price and display merchandise; answer telephone; perform varied support tasks; and assist with winterization of Fort buildings.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of two years' work experience; dependability and flexibility to be available varied hours (including weekends); strong customer service orientation, proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills; creativity; and an interest in history, education, tourism, or serving in an ambassador role.
