The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Senior Historian, assigned to the Air Staff History, Air Force Historical Studies Office. Responsibilities Assures Air Staff History Branch work is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and responsibilities, ensuring that historical writing complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Represents the Air Force Historical Studies Office with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Serves as the AF/HO lead for the Air Force Crisis Action Team (CAT). Serves as AF/HO point of contact for the CAT (on recall status 24/7), insuring all actions requiring response from AF/HO are completed and answered expeditiously.
