Position Summary

The SNF HIM SPECIALIST trains and supports new HIM Directors in the skilled nursing facility setting and performs HIM department evaluations for LCCA facilities in multiple states in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Requirements

• Must be RHIT or RHIA to be considered
• Must have 3-5 years of long term care/Skilled Nursing Facility HIM experience
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work well independently
• Ability to understand, apply, and train ICD-10-CM coding
• Knowledge of the SNF PDPM Payment System
