The Herd Manager will be responsible for overseeing the health, welfare, breeding, and productivity of the dairy herd, ensuring optimal performance and supporting the farm’s overall objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily herd activities, including feeding, breeding, health monitoring, and calf rearing.
• Implement herd health programs in collaboration with veterinarians to prevent diseases and maintain high animal welfare standards.
• Develop and maintain breeding schedules and artificial insemination programs to improve herd genetics and productivity.
• Monitor milk production and cow performance, diagnosing and addressing issues promptly.
