Position Overview

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support a unique US Air Force program based on the island of Diego Garcia. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation to support Air Force, Space Force, ARTs, GEODDs, and AMC operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including Non-Tactical Vehicles (NTVE), Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Other Handling Equipment (OHE).

Conduct body, fender, and mechanical repairs to ensure transportation equipment is safe, operational, and presents a professional and sightly appearance.
