To work as part of the Components Team, working to detailed Heat Treatment specifications. The Heat Treatment Operative is responsible for carrying out Heat Treatment processes on aerospace components to achieve the required mechanical properties, hardness, and metallurgical characteristics. The role involves operating furnaces, monitoring temperatures, applying appropriate heat treatment cycles, and ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and specifications. Day-to-day activities will involve operating numerous industrial ovens/furnaces to heat treat sheet metal components through processes such as solution treating, stress relieving, annealing, and precipitation.
