Role Details

Permanent position at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity.

• Hours – Full Time (36 hours)
• Working Pattern – Monday to Sunday (requires a shift pattern over 7 days)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out newborn hearing screening in maternity units and community clinics, ensuring accurate and timely results
• Identify babies requiring screening and support follow‑up processes where needed
• Record clinical data accurately and maintain all required documentation
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and multidisciplinary teams in a supportive and sensitive manner
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold dignity, privacy and family‑centred care at all times
• Adhere to infection control, health and safety and child protection policies
• Ensure equipment is used safely and report any issues promptly
