Job Overview

The UHNM are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is qualified in GI Physiology as a Clinical Scientist/GI Physiologist. The applicant will be a registered Clinical Scientist in GI Physiology with the HCPC or an Independent Practitioner registered with the Association of Gastro‑Intestinal Physiologists and registered with the AHCS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of physiological measurement investigations including oesophageal manometry, oesophageal pH impedance studies, hydrogen and methane breath testing, anorectal physiology and wireless pH monitoring.
• Support the provision of comprehensive bowel behavioural therapy within the pelvic floor multidisciplinary team, including patient education sessions, advice and medication review, counselling, and computer‑aided biofeedback techniques.
