The post will be based at Broadgreen and Aintree Hospitals. It is a 6‑month fellowship starting August 2026 aimed at a peri‑CCT or equivalent trainee with a specific interest in metastatic bone disease. The fellow will develop surgical skills under supportive supervision, learn to manage metastatic patients, and acquire the ability to set up and run a metastatic service and specialise in lower limb arthroplasty, revision hip and knee arthroplasty.

Responsibilities

• Attend outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
• Provide an overview of management of metastatic patients in a regional metastatic unit.
• Undertake on‑call commitments including weekend operating.
• Participate in weekly regional arthroplasty and metastatic MDT meetings.
• Conduct research, including analysis of a prospective database of metastatic patients.
