Summary This position is located at The Western Branch VA Clinic is a community-based outpatient clinic (CBOC) that operates as an extension from its parent facility, Hampton VA Medical Center. The Hampton VA Medical Center is a general medical surgical facility with 477 beds serving a 15-county area in eastern Virginia and a 10-county area in northeastern North Carolina and has a veteran population of more than 220,000 veterans. Responsibilities Duties Include, but not limited to: Performs duties in the receiving, accessioning and specimen processing area including collecting chain of custody drug screens, reference laboratory specimen processing, clerical functions, patient testing, and phlebotomy. Properly identify patients utilizing the full name and social security number before collecting, processing and /or hospital computer entry of requests.
