Summary Ophthalmology Technicians in the VA Caribbean Care System (VACHS) support Ophthalmologist in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, follow up care and patient counseling. The Health Technician (Ophthalmology) performs a range of standard, complex diagnostic procedures, assists during clinic based surgical procedures, educates patients, assists with the education of medical students, residents and ophthalmic technician students.
