Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our Cancer Services team at Nelson Hospital. Permanent part time 0.5 FTE (40 hours a fortnight). Opportunity to learn and further develop your skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical assistance to support safe patient flow, timely service delivery, and a positive patient experience.
• Support Registered Nurses to focus on direct clinical care and complex patient needs.
• Assist with the delivery of cancer care services at the relocated Oncology Facility located on campus but separate from the main hospital.
• Support the multidisciplinary team to expand service delivery and maintain appropriate skill mix.
• Contribute to efficient and safe day-to-day operations, including duties related to walking, transporting equipment, and assisting patients as required.
