Your Opportunity:

The Health Care Aide position will be based out of the Enhanced Care Unit, Type A Continuing Care Home; however, it may involve working on all units at Mackenzie Place when required. Residents may exhibit challenging, unpredictable responsive behaviors, which require enhanced staffing expertise to provide care and oversight. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will work under the supervision of a regulated health professional while delivering healthcare services. You will be responsible for providing care within the boundaries of your competency and education and follow care plans using your knowledge, skills and abilities to provide safe and competent care. While providing care to residents in the Enhanced Care Unit, you must be astute in their level of observation, identify and report subtle changes in resident behaviours and implement strategies to mitigate potential escalation of responsive behaviours.
