Job Title and Overview

An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of Head of School for Paediatrics. The post will be offered on a secondment arrangement to NHS England – 4 PA / 16 hours per week. All work undertaken is incorporated into the Consultant Job Plan.

As Head of School, you will be responsible for the overall quality, management and supervision of the programmes within your school. You will ensure all programmes meet the standards defined by NHSE, the GMC and the Royal College, and work closely with senior educators, other Heads of Schools, Directors of Medical Education and Training Programme Directors to enable each trainee to access a comprehensive range of experiences covering the speciality curricula.
