Shangri-La Sydney is looking for team members to join our Engineering Department as a Handyperson, you will be performing general maintenance and repair work, and other cleaning duties associated with the department.

About the Role:

• Attend guest room work requests. Performs minor carpentry, plumbing, fitting, painting and general maintenance work specially in guest rooms and Front of House areas.
• Responsible for the cleaning of ventilation equipment including air conditioning coils, ducting, filters, air handling units.
• Acts as an assistant to the Shift Engineer, painter, electrician, fitter, carpenter when required.
• Conducts preventative maintenance in guest rooms and on equipment assigned to him from the maintenance schedule.
• Prepare daily accomplishment reports to account for the hours and material expended on individual tasks.
