Critical Care Ground Emergency Medical Technician-Operator

The Critical Care Ground Emergency Medical Technician-Operator (CCGEMT) is responsible for assisting with or independently providing direct patient care to those individuals assigned to them by the Paramedic or Registered Nurse or when attending BLS patients while staffing a BLS ambulance. Those services shall be provided in a manner that displays compassion, caring and respect. The CCGEMT is responsible for safe ground ambulance operation for interfacility patients, transport crew members, specialty teams and other transport missions as assigned. Other duties may include assisting the ShandsCair dispatch center when needed as well as staffing of non-emergent transport vehicles as assigned.
