**Grinder Production A - 2nd Shift (DSC)**
**Description**

**Job Description:**


* Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.


* Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types grinders.


* Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours and threads.


* Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads. Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels.


* Holds work to required tolerances. Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks.
**Tools & Equipment Used:**
All types of grinders, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.
