Duties and Responsibilities:

Under supervision of the director of Ke Panana Aloha (KPA), assist with the writing, illustration, and preparation of the children’s magazine Ke Panana.

Collaborate with fellow writers and illustrators to create new content for publication in the magazine. Such content may include: stories and descriptions of famous places and events on Oahu, comic strips, word games, art projects, vocabulary building activities and more. 

Meet regularly with the KPA director and other writers and illustrators to plan and develop moolelo to be published in the magazine.

Assist in scheduling, announcing, and documenting KPA meetings.
