Role Overview
A government hospital cleaner maintains the cleanliness, hygiene, and infection‑control standards of public hospitals, district hospitals, regional hospitals, tertiary hospitals, and community health centres operated by the South African Department of Health across all nine provinces.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect wards, casualty areas, operating theatres, ICU, and other clinical and non‑clinical areas.
- Maintain infection‑control standards by following SOPs and work instructions.
- Work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
Working Locations
- Johannesburg, Gauteng – Gauteng Department of Health hospital cleaning, public ward hygiene, and casualty and theatre support cleaning.
