Overview

Glazier, curtain walls or equivalent experience. On-site client service in commercial and retail settings, including installation, repair and maintenance of glass products and curtain wall systems.

Responsibilities

• Determine kind of glass, structures and materials needed
• Measure, mark and cut glass
• Set glass panes in frames; install premade glass, mirrors or glass products
• Mount doors, windows and other hardware
• Repair glass doors and other glass frameworks
• Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
• Read and translate plans, maps, illustrations and specifications
• Operate at elevations, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Work with various glass/material types and systems (curtain walls, spandrel panels, skylights, etc.)
• Install drape walls, skylights, incline glazed installations and aluminum store fronts
