CDM Smith is seeking a Geologist to join our Environmental Services team in New York City.

Under direct supervision, performs basic to moderate complexity geologic/ seismic evaluations/fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations/ hydrogeologic analysis (aquifer test analysis; geochemical analysis; geotechnical analysis; contaminant transport analysis etc.) in both surface and subsurface geologic conditions pertaining to water supply, contaminant and/or geotechnical assessments. Activities may include well geologic logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing and/or soils characterization and data compilation and evaluation Prepares cross sections, isoconcentration maps, and/or QA/QC analysis. Develops draft evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments.
