The generator rotor winder assembles copper coils
onto large generator rotors, which are used to generate an electromagnetic
field during operation. As a rotor
winder you will be forming, brazing, and insulating the copper coils. After the complete winding is installed, you
will fit and install composite blocking between the copper end arcs and install
wedges in the rotor body to hold the coils in position. Throughout the day you
will perform the required safety and quality checks and fill out the electronic
quality control documents.

+ Perform rotor winding tasks including winding,brazing, insulating, blocking, wedging, and assembling
+ Work on both new rotors and refurbishment of servicerotors
+ May assist in hand skill areas with tasks suchas assembly of shrunk-on components and deburring machined parts
+ Engagein continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology
