About the Role

Permanent Medicine Registrar position starting 3 August 2026. 6‑month initial allocation to a General Medicine training position at Wairarapa Hospital in Masterton, with subsequent rotations to other regional hospitals.

This is an RACP‑accredited 6‑month training position, but we are open to consider a doctor who could work in this position for an entire year (two 6‑month postings).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the General Medical Registrar with a small team of consultant physicians and pre‑vacational doctors, and have a great opportunity to lead and learn.
• Have direct contact with the SMO physician team and other clinical teams, providing a wide scope of hands‑on learning.
• Cover Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and O&G when rostered on for long days and weekends.
