As a Gender Tech you will be responsible for the highly technical task of identifying the sex of day-old chicks using the manual vent sexing method. This is a precision-based role that requires manual dexterity, sharp vision, and the ability to maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced hatchery environment.

The Gender Technician:

+ Sets up their own work area;

+ Accurately determines the poults gender, separating the toms from the hens, marking the poult with the assigned color to promote gender identification accuracy;

The work requires the Gender Technician:

+ To follow the company’s rules and regulations for bio security, animal welfare and safety;
