Make a meaningful difference on your schedule by driving cancer patients who need rides to lifesaving treatment.

As a Road To Recovery volunteer driver with the American Cancer Society, you’ll use your personal vehicle to provide free rides for cancer patients who face transportation challenges.

Most rides are Monday–Friday during the day. Volunteers are encouraged to provide the roundtrip, but rides are posted as one-way segments . If you’re able to drive both legs, the time between is yours (run errands, grab coffee, read, or wait in a main lobby).

Volunteer drivers must :

• • Be age 18–84
  • Have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Use a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Pass background and motor vehicle records checks
  • Complete online training and use our online ride scheduling tool
